Remember we used to feel free like birds
believed in flying over peaks to leave all suffering behind.
Salvation was within our grasp
and we could reach for redemption
in the dawn of all days.
But darkness was spread
through the teeth in your jaws
no escape no sun that could erase our flaws.
We were drowned in darkness
not the green of the hills nor the blue of the sea
we have lost all the colors that have made us believe
you have spread this disease.
You have spread the disease
that has poisoned our minds
conquered this innocent place
and invaded our lives.
Once we were wiser
once we had dreams
but they were smashed into pieces by you
the breeder of apathy.
I want to feel the sun on my skin
and count the stars that enlighten the sky.
Travel through valleys on paths that you have called dead to forge evil spirits
we have been all alone with our mistakes
had no chance but to forget our ways.
this is the misery that you created
erased what has made us unique
